Reflection: When making this I was having problems with how the hat needed to fit when Drafting it from a picture on my phone. With that problem in mind I spent a few days drawing the same face again and again on any paper I had hopefully getting it correct so when transferring to the canvas I was able to make it look like the picture but not exactly. Because i'm in intermediate I made my image black and white with the background only having color.
Black and white landscape to color
block prints
Reflection: The reason I chose that picture to do the printing was because with previous prints I've done they were very simple and didn't challenge me to do the best of my ability. With doing this print I drew it out and then and then did the transfer to the block. I had to do some tracing to fix it so the lines were clear and so cutting would be very easy. I spent a few days cutting and then finally printing. My plan was to have 3 layers but i only got to two on a few prints which was very hard with trying to line the very small things I wanted to be colored.
Watercolor
Reflection: When doing watercolors it was very hard for me to break the habit of pushing down on the pencil very hard so when painting the pencil lines would not be covered later on being in the painting making it not look very good. I also had a lot of trouble with painting the trees and skies. With the sky i wanted the cloud look to it that was hard for me to achieve so ended up having the look that it has.
Free choice
Reflection: I chose this picture to draw because most drawings I do are based around music so I try and combine both arts I enjoy. So when doing this I first thought of doing the entire cover but didn't see it looking good so I had the idea to try and have the album name webbed into the lines hanging off the man but changed it again to being just the man because him by himself looks very good and doesn't need anything added onto it.
